- Description of Assignment / Work: The budget assignment for Senior Seminar intends to help us figure out our financial needs for our Senior Projects. The budget spreadsheet coexists with the third blog post, which was a write up of our progress and hurdles since day one.
- What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why? What I am most proud of from this assignment was identifying my finances in my project, because I gave a vague statement in my progress proposal. I was also able to find the most versatile and cheap items on the web.
- What was most difficult about completing this task? What was difficult about completing this task was finding grants related to my cause. A lot of the grants Mr. Adam gave us were unrelated to my project material (humanities, music, podcasting, environment)
- How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do different? If I could start over I would put more injury related stuff I have on my budget list. This assignment was a guide, so it would be pointless to do it again.
- How does this relate to what you have learned in the past? How can you apply this to future learning? This work sample relates to what I have learned in the past because in Junior Seminar last year, we created our own spending budget, and ways to repay it. It has been a while, so I don’t recall the specifics.
- Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why? How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skill with this assignment? This assignment addresses Financial, Economic and Business Literacy because it broadens our understanding of the financial needs of the senior project and post graduation. In other words, we are more financially literate. I learned what grants are, and you don’t have to rely on a part time job to pay off your senior project spendings.
