For my internship over the summer, I interned under Teddy, a board certified physical therapist specializing in fabrication. I timed in every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00-4:00, with the exception of Memorial Day. I learned about anatomy and the jobs of physical therapists. I found great pleasure in planning out my tasks and chatting with Teddy and his colleagues. Teddy, Margaret, Lydia, Emily, and Connor (another intern) were the crew at the Safeway Venture Physical Therapy location. One of my greatest strengths, synchronization, was strengthened at this internship.
I enjoyed having my own little room in the corner behind the cable connector, meeting new people (trying not to share anything confidential per HIPAA), drawing parts of the body like the skull and knee, making them laugh while I laugh at their reactions to my music taste, and getting to know everybody at the clinic.
